The Task:
Given the question provided; develop a thesis in response to it, and write an argumentative essay (partial) defending your thesis. Your essay must adhere to the following specifications:
· Three paragraphs in formal format. Please note:
· 12 pt. New Times Roman font, double line spacing
· M.L.A. Formatting for both footnotes or in text citations and bibliography
The Process:
1. Essay Topic/Question:To what extent did World War One and World War Two have a positive effect on the lives of Canadian women?
2. Seek an answer to your inquiry question and generate content for your essay by doing some research:
· For this assignment, you must consult at least 4 different resources
· Make sure to document your sources on the tracker provided, i.e. record bibliographic information for any source you get notes from. (Class resources provided)
3. Develop a thesis. Based on your research, you must answer the inquiry question. This should take the form of a clear, precise argumentative statement.
4. Develop and organize your content. Make decisions about which information from your research is most relevant and convincing, how it can be grouped into paragraphs, and (if necessary) where you could use more information; if you do need more, further research may be necessary but see me first!
6. Write a draft. Print - To be peer edited. This copy will be submitted.
7. Good Copy. Once your good copy is completed, you can start preparations for final submission:
